Dr. Laura King is originally from Pensacola, FL and joined the Bienville Animal Medical Center staff in July, 2010 after graduating from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University earlier in 2010. She also holds a degree in Dairy Science from Mississippi State University, awarded to her in 2007.

Dr. King enjoys many aspects of companion animal practice, but has a special interest in dermatology, internal medicine and abdominal ultrasound. She is a member of the AVMA, Mississippi VMA, South Mississippi VMA and AAHA.

Dr. King resides locally with her husband, Jared, and their children, Aubree and Brennan.  They have two dogs (Ollie and Maggie) and three cats (Cole, Snickers and Twix) as well fish and frogs.  Outside of work, Dr. King enjoys different types of crafting, traveling, working on their house and mostly spending time with her family.
